The Salty Siren is the neighborhood hangout. it's your typical, cheesy, nautical decor, beach-side restuarant. its not very fancy but the beers are cheep, and the food is good. with little options in town, it's the coolest place to be. on weekends they host bonfires. they also have a dog friendly patio, the owner's dog is often seen laying around the establishment to the delight of patrons.
Scales is the new kid on the block. it's a stylish and hip eatery known for their cocktails. considered a little pretentious by most, it's a popular place for a first date.

Coral Hill is where the money is. this gated community is home to million dollar homes. the more affluent residents have homes along the bluff with private sections of the beach. seasiders refer to people who live in this area as hill folk
Seaside is where you are from if you are not from the hill. collectively, all other neighborhoods fall under this name.
La Mer is a high-rise loft-style condos. it has it's own private stretch of beach which separates the public beach from Coral Hill. residents of La Mer are often referred to as lamers
Bayside Arms is a popular, mid-range apartment complex located near the university. most of the residents are students.
Dune Point Apartments is located in the rough side of town, which is about half a block from the good side of town. it's not the nicest place to live, but it comes with your standard amenities and occasional drug raids.
Seaside Auto & Boat Repair is the local auto & boat repair shop. With an outstanding rating, they are the number one place to get any and all repairs done. Other services done include oil changes, alignments, tire rotation, wash and detailed interior cleaning, upholstery repair, window repair, and many others. Accessories also sold inside. University of California Seaside is part of the University of California System. The campus is located near downtown and offers undergraduate and graduate programs in all fields of study.
Seaside Community College: si the local two year junior college which offers certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees in most fields of study.
Downtown is located three blocks from the beach. it is home to the movie theater, shops, restaurants, the courthouse, hospital, library, police station and fire department.
Lighthouse Park is a 32-acre park located north of downtown. amenities at the park include drinking fountains, grills, reservable ramadas, a playground, restrooms, walking paths and a lighted sand volleyball court.
Seaside Mall features national retailers, a children's play area, carousel, multiplex cinema & food court and free WiFi.
The Pier is an abandoned pier that use to be the source of entertainment for residence. It lost popularity in the early 2000s when The Salty Siren opened and after the economic crash it shut it's doors permanently. Now it serves as a make-out point for young adults.
